Value Your Threads

Classy, relaxed, sophisticated, or chic your wardrobe is an investment that defines YOU. Your "threads" should be chosen carefully like any other large investment.

Fashion designers all around the world work tirelessly on creating the perfect pieces to complete your wardrobe - when you make that purchase...you are saying "Thank You"! Thank you for perfect material, thank you for the perfect style and cut, thank you for your time in designing the perfect threads!

HOW TO VALUE YOUR THREADS:
Although the care and maintenance of your new jeans, dress or handbag is very important, I am talking about the true value. As you browse for that one-of-a-kind top or those comfortable shoes, take a look at the whole package. Does that top come with extra benefits? Does it come with insurance? After a year, will will I see a return? It sounds a bit silly - I know! Nevertheless, at Fifth on Main when you shop, your purchases accumulate points and can be converted into rewards. These rewards benefit you, your loved ones, and your future, VALUE YOUR THREADS! It's like saving up for spa days, golf outings, dinners and hotel stays just by shopping as you would normally do.

Shopping is fun, and online shopping saves drive time, and line headaches - we have all been there before! At Fifth on Main you can browse by designer, accessory or look, when an item stands out...simply choose your size, color, and decide where it should be shipped! When it arrives at your door...that is Fifth on Main's kind "YOU'RE WELCOME -Enjoy your rewards-"

So if you haven't shopped Fifth on Main, you haven't enjoyed The Ultimate Shopping Experience!

Spring Countdown- Must Haves

Nail Polish - Blush shades are a must for spring and ESSIE has every shade you can think of. Treat your nails as the most important accessory! I found this deal on InStyle.com

Skin Moisturizer - Sun damage is everlasting! Weather you are enjoying the sunlight at a local cafe or simply commuting, you are a prisoner of the rays! So always apply moisturizer to you skin! Dry, flaky skin is not attractive and for long term results use a moisturizer with a low SPF. I recommend Moisture Sheer Tint SPF 15 by Clinique, it ads a sheer tint lus youcan use it on all skin types!

Sandals - This spring, it will be difficult to find one style of sandals/flip-flips...plain and simple. This spring, the embellished look with designs galore is what you will find. Platforms will be the most popular style with a wedge heel. Animal prints and ankle straps are a must have if you plan of hitting the beach! not that i should remind you but, DON'T wear platforms in the sane, you WILL leave with a sprained ankle. While shopping, keep your eyes open for the multi-leather finishes with a hint of the 1930's will also keep you stylish, the 1930's look will keep you glamorous.

Shorts and Skirts - The ultimate sign of Spring! Military inspirations are IN, So before you head out, throw on a pair of comfortable shorts or a skirt to show off your beautiful legs!

Tank Tops - Ruffles and Bows! This is the perfect example of what your spring tank tops should look like. A sheer top that isn't too heavy. The bows at the neckline accent the cascading ribbons. Cynthia Steffe captures the flirty look in this piece. To purchase the "Bianca Top" go to Fifth on Main

Hair Care - Your hair needs a healthy shine at all times, and it is tough to maintain in the sun. Redken's Color Protection professional collection has been proven to refine highlights, strengthen, and protect your color from the sun's rays. Now, I use Redken Professional hair care products myself, and knowing that my hair is healthy, shiny and never tangles...is definetly a confedence booster!

5 Spring Beauty Tips

Spring is just 18 days away! Are you ready to let you swimsuit loose and slip on your flip-flops?

Well, What about your makeup and hair?

1-Rock the loose ponytail...because they are timeless! The loose ponytails and the loose buns never go away, especially during spring time!

2-Red Hot Lips are a must. Ladies, you must know that when applying the Red lipstick, ease up on the eyeshadow. It's Spring, so keep it classy and natural.

3- Bronze love ~ The sun may not be the healthiest companion for your skin, SPF 15 at minimum will keep you protected, or this season try airbrush tanning! Airbrush tanning is quick, simple and less damaging to your skin. Some solutions actually have vitamins that protect you! Weather you spray on your tan, or you lay out in the sun-bronze is the best solution to your complexion!

4-The saying "Everything in bigger in Texas" died years ago...because big lashes are IN! They are defining and beautiful, so no matter where you are... extend your lashes! If you don't feel up to the -glue process- I understand. You have to put them on one at a time to accomplish that beautiful look. Tip #4 just layer on the mascara...BUT DON'T leave clumps behind! Make sure your lashes are big, beautiful and clump-free!

5-SHIMMER!!! Yes, shimmer all over! Legs, arms, cheeks, eyes...everywhere. Shimmer up without looking like a walking glitter-ball! All you need is a small portion to really bring out the glow in your undertone.

In previous posts I expressed my love for the Military Inspired look this Spring. Well, I found this website that breaks it down into "3 Ways To Get Springs Military Style Just Right" Check it out!

When and Wear-Ken Downing

I came across this trend watch by Ken Downing, and felt I would share it with all of you!

Although I live in the here and now, it's my job to be on the lookout
for the new and the next! I am currently in Europe at the fall collections
and reflecting on how truly terrific Spring 2010 looks. It's interesting
to me that fashion continues to be an evolution, as opposed to a revolution.

The chic shades of BLUE that I am crazy about for spring transition to
fall mixed with deep greens, purples, and teals inspired by the
exuberance of a peacock's tail.

SHORTS, which I feel so strongly about for the spring season ahead,
appear for fall as winter Walking Shorts worn with ribbed tights.

Pants--narrow or full--fill the runways, and we are seeing the return of
the Pant Suit. So chic!
Trust me, the RELAXED PANTS trend for spring really has legs.

Of course, the FEMININE DRAPING that defines spring is reimagined in
colors and fabrications for fall that make it more irresistible than
ever.

And, don't even get me started on animal prints--it's all about the
ocelot print.

I hope it gives you confidence that so many of our favorite spring looks
and trends will effortlessly transition into your fall wardrobe as we
move further into the next season.
